About us

Clear help for navigating social platforms — without the noise.

Social Media Support (socialmediasupport.com) publishes plain-language guides for everyday users and businesses. We explain common tasks — creating accounts, privacy settings, posting, archiving, and closing accounts — and point you to official help centers when details change.

What we are

  • An independent educational website
  • Focused on practical how-tos and responsible growth tips
  • Honest about limitations: apps change, and we are not the platforms themselves

What we are not

  • Not affiliated with Meta, Google, TikTok, X Corp, LinkedIn, Snap, Pinterest, or other platforms
  • Not a medical provider, clinic, or specialist referral service
  • Not a guaranteed “get followers fast” scheme

Mental health pages

Our mental health section is a resource hub: crisis lines, directories, and educational articles. It is not clinical care. Read the Medical Disclaimer.

Our mission

Social platforms change constantly. Menus move, features are renamed, and policies update with little notice. Official help centers are thorough but can be hard to navigate, especially when you are stressed because an account is locked or a post went wrong. Our mission is to give everyday users, parents, and small businesses clear, calm, practical guidance that gets them to the right setting or official resource quickly.

We also believe healthy social media use matters as much as technical know-how. That is why we maintain a mental health resource hub that points to established helplines and reputable organizations rather than offering advice we are not qualified to give.

Editorial standards

  • Original writing. Our guides are written in our own words. We do not copy text from platform help centers or other publishers.
  • Accuracy over speed. We describe steps in general terms that remain useful as interfaces change, and we link to official help pages for exact, current instructions.
  • Verifiable claims only. When we cite statistics, we name the source and link to it. If we cannot verify a figure, we leave it out.
  • Ethical growth advice. We never recommend buying followers, fake engagement, or tactics that violate platform rules.
  • Safety first. For hacked accounts, scams, and harassment, we direct readers to official support channels and warn against paid “recovery” services.
  • Clear limits on health content. Mental health pages are educational and resource-focused. We do not diagnose, treat, or refer to specific clinicians.

How our guides are updated

We review platform guides on a regular schedule and whenever a major platform changes its account, privacy, or deletion processes. Readers can also report outdated steps through our contact form; corrections are prioritized when they affect security, privacy, or account access. Each guide includes a note reminding readers that interfaces change and that official help centers are the final authority.

Advertising and independence

This site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads are displayed in clearly separated spaces and do not influence our recommendations. We are not paid by social media platforms to write our guides. See our Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy for details.

Who writes our content

Our guides are produced by a small editorial team focused on consumer technology and digital wellbeing. Writers research each topic using official platform documentation and reputable public sources, then rewrite the information in plain language. An editor checks each guide for clarity, safety, and accuracy before publication.

Corrections policy

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Send corrections via our contact form with the page URL and what has changed. Significant corrections to security or privacy guidance are updated as quickly as possible.
